Go Crocs!!!!!

Jackson was super excited about his first coach pitch ballgame tonight. I think Joe was a little nervous since it was his first coaching performance, but the boys did fantastic and according to Jackson the Crocs won 12-9!

Charlie Graduates Pre-K

Charlie was super excited to graduate from Pre-K at Primrose. He was so excited that he practiced his songs all week prior so that when the time came to preform them he sang loud and proud, so much so that another dad said, "Charlie really owned that one!" We are super excited for our little graduate!

The graduate!

Henry not happy about picture time!

Mother's Day Tea

With my due date fast approaching, Jackson's biggest concern about the arrival of Henry was that I would miss his Mother's Day Tea. His kindergarten class had been working on the Tea for months and it was fantastic. After a musical performance and Jackson's first solo which was one word "Waaa", I was treated to cookies and artwork by Jackson. I was so happy I was able to go!

Kitchen- Biggest Change

When we bought the house, we loved the feel of the kitchen but knew that it would need so TLC. Little did Joe know that he would be a huge part of the transformation.

Thanksgiving

Our first family get together at our new house was Thanksgiving. The boys were super excited for the Thanksgiving cooking to begin and were a huge help with the prep for the pumpkin cheesecake and casseroles for the big day. Joe's family arrived and the cooking began. We had a blast visiting, eating, and starting our first kickball tournament in the backyard. After food the kids went to the backyard for smores while the adults planned their Black Friday excursions. Overall we had a blast; I feel a family tradition brewing.

Basement

We didn't have much need for a pool table so we decided that a media room/card area would a great change. The boys love going down in the basement and having movie time

One Room Down

When we bought the house we knew that there would be projects. Fueled by HGTV and naivety, I bravely signed on for more projects than ever thought I would. I plan to post several of the projects that we have completed in the house. This is the guest bedroom which as you can see was the former owners daughter's room. I must comment that painting over that pink might of induced a couple of choice words from me.

Dynamic Duo

The Dynamic Duo visited the Morton house for Halloween this year. Jackson and Charlie were super excited that Joe's mom was able to come and see the costume parade at their school and Debbie and Jake were able to help with handing out candy that evening. We enjoyed meeting lots of new neighbors while trick or treating in the evening but my favorite part was the picture of Charlie and Joe's mom. Even Superheros need hugs.

The Gray Tornadoes Last Game

Soccer season has come to a close; Jackson and the Gray Tornadoes had a great season. Jackson really enjoyed getting to know some of the local kids and to complete his first team sport. He really loved his coach who nicknamed him "Game Time" because how aggressive he was on the field during games. It was fun to watch him on the field and I can't wait for Spring Soccer; I think even anti-soccer Joe is a bit excited for it to start back up again.

Kansas City Zoo

So what do you do with two small boys in an apartment on a beautiful day, you head to the zoo of course. The boy were very excited to check out what Kansas City had to offer. They were not disappointed. The zoo offered everything they expected plus a sky safari which let you have a sky view of the animals. Charlie loved it; however Jackson was not so sure, maybe because I told him if he lost a shoe (which he is always kicking off) the animals would eat it. Overall a great day, but I still haven't figured out which animal was suppose to lay that egg.

Never Trust Boys with Superhero PJS

For Charlie's birthday he received Batman pajamas. Of course, Gotham would not be safe without Jackson having a pair too... little did I know that flying lessons for the Batmen in training started at 5:30am in my bed. Rethinking those pajamas.

Charlie Turns 3

Since we had not closed on our house yet, Debbie was very kind to offer her house for the location to host Charlie's 3rd birthday. His theme of choice was Batman and he was super excited that Grandma and Grandpa came to share in the festivities. Mike and Debbie gave Charlie a super huge car track and Jackson and Charlie enjoyed helping Mike put it together, maybe with a little help from Jake the dog. Overall a great birthday party and great day spent with family.

Recalculating

Since moving to Kansas City, I would say that I have been somewhat dependent on the Garmin GPS that we bought prior to our move. I guess that the extent of the addiction was not apparent until Joe took the GPS to St Louis with him today and I was left to my own devises to get Jackson to his soccer game. The boys however thought that the lack of navigation was hilarious and each time I took a wrong turn the boys in unison shouted "Recalculating". At the time not so funny.

The Royals Win!!!

Tonight was the first time that Charlie and I experienced a Royal's game and even though tonight's weather offered rain and unseasonably cool temps, we had a blast. Little K was a huge hit for the boys, both got hits and to run around the bases. Joe was super excited to share this with the boys and later told me that "this was a night he would always remember"; maybe it was because the Royals won :)!

Leawood Fire and Police Open House

The boys were super excited to go to the Leawood Fire and Police Open House. With fire trucks and police cars open for them to explore at their leisure, it was close to Christmas morning for the Morton boys. The fire and policemen were super nice and even let the boys take a turn sitting on the police motorcycle which was a huge highlight.
