We Could Eat It!

One of our favorite spots at our house is the back porch where we like to chat and watch wildlife that ventures into our backyard. Usually the wildlife is limited to the birds that are lured by our feeder however recently we have had a cute brown bunny visit us. The boys get especially excited when the bunny comes to visit and with his coloring blending so well with his surroundings, the boys love to see who can pick him out first. So this afternoon after church when I discovered that the bunny had gotten hung in a soccer net I had moved the day before and died, I was very worried about how the boys might take the news. I asked Joe if we should share the news with the boys and we decided that Jackson would understand a little better than Charlie. After pulling Jackson aside and sharing the news he said, "That's sad, we could eat it!" I was definitely not expecting that response!
