Sea World

One of my favorite memories of my childhood trips to Florida was my visit to Sea World, so I was determined that we should include it in our plans. Upon arrival we received a guide for show times so that we could better plan our day. The Shamu Believe show was not until that afternoon so we decided that the Blue Horizons Dolphin Show would be first. The show not only included dolphins, but also divers, acrobats, and birds that flew over your head in the audience. We loved it!!!!

Next we watched the Clyde and Seamore Take Pirate Island, a sea lion show, which Joe had remembered as a child. It was a comedy show and although some of the humor was above the boys heads they enjoyed it just as much as Joe and I.
As you can imagine, Sea World has some fantastic aquarium exhibits. The boys really enjoyed the sting rays and the tunnel you walked through that had sharks swimming all around you. The had huge jaws from various species of sharks on exhibit and Jackson and I had to demonstrate their massive teeth.
We then took a little break from the marine life and enjoyed a little roller coaster and kid rides that the park offered. Charlie did not meet the requirements for the first roller coaster that Jackson rode, so Joe and Jackson embarked on Jackson's first roller coaster ride together. Jackson loved it!!!! We then found a ride that both boys could ride and Charlie had a blast. He was cracking up the fellow rides by squealing and laughing so loud.

Shamu was next on the list and we enjoyed seeing the whales and the baby whale that was born in October.

Arctic Adventures was an interesting exhibit with a walrus, beluga whales, and a polar bear. Jackson and Charlie were amazed at the size of the walrus and his huge teeth, I must admit it was really neat to see one so close.

After visiting the manatees, we decided to call it a day. When I asked Jackson what was his favorite part of Sea World: dolphins, sea lions, whales, sea lions, or manatees? His response was the
polar bear (the only animal that was asleep the entire time and did not move). Oh well, we had a blast and I know that Joe and I enjoyed a little Mickey free time.
