About 4 months ago, Joe and I decided to forgo the diaper bag and replace it with each boy having a backpack for church. We had a feeling that Charlie would be onboard with the idea since one of Charlie's first words was backpack due to the book Biscuit Goes To School.
He has seen Jackson with his backpack and has wanted one for himself. So we decided to upgrade Jackson to a Lightening McQueen backpack and Charlie inherited the Diego one. Ever since his inheritance windfall, Charlie has been obsessed with the bag. As soon as we get him dressed for church, he immediately wants to put the backpack on and walk around the house.
Depending on how early they are dressed, he could go an hour just walking around. We did have to do some tweaking on the weight because the first few times that he wore it he would immediately fall backwards.
Overall, I just love seeing him with the backpack it makes me smile and think what a big boy he has gotten to be.
Charlie and Jackson have to be the funniest boys ever!
