Simple Answers

So at night I always let the boys pick three books that they can read before bed; Jackson always suprises me with his unique picks. Tonight he decided that he wanted to read the Christmas story. We came to the picture with Mary on the donkey and Joseph walking beside her. Jackson asks me,"Mommy, why is Joseph walking?" I say, "Jackson, Jesus was born a long time ago, there were no cars back then." He replies, "Mommy, I know that (eye roll). Joseph is walking because they only had one donkey." All I could reply was, "Yeah Jackson you are right, he is walking because there was not another donkey." I guess sometimes the answer is just that simple.
