Yesterday Joe's grandmother, Carol Lambelet, passed away. Ever since Joe and I met, he has always shared stories of his spirited grandmother. I had the opportunity to visit with her twice and realized that the stories were not embellished. She was a very intelligent, witty woman who always shared her unique perspectives on life. I am so glad that Jackson and Joe made a trip last May to see Mrs. Lambelet. I know that Joe will definitely miss his grandmother, but I know that her spirit will live on through the memories that he will share with our children of this remarkable woman.
